FCP is a merchant banking and advisory firm that works with innovative and emerging growth middle market companies in the insurance and financial services industries. FCP was formed in 2007 by John Clinton who previously ran the well-known insurance private equity fund CCP Equity Partners (formerly known as Conning Capital Partners). Under John’s leadership, CCP Equity Partners invested broadly across the insurance sector, having completed 50+ investments over 20 years. Scott Cantini joined FCP in 2010, and has worked as an insurance investment banker, a private equity banker and as CEO/CFO in various Insurance companies
The collective experience base of the principals allows FCP to advise management teams and entrepreneurs in numerous verticals of insurance: managing general agents, managing general underwriters, wholesalers, retail agents, SaaS risk management service providers, specialty underwriters, outsourced service providers, claims management, and life and health benefits specialists.
The team has also been involved in various software and InsurTech companies enhancing and disrupting insurance markets in all fields.
The advisory services of FCP are provided through FCP, LLC, while the direct investing activity is provided through Farmington Capital Partners.
